Ah, styled shoots. The perfect way to network and come together as creatives before the busy summer wedding season starts.
When Zoe Bergmann of Wisteria Lane Rentals reached out for me to photograph her vision of a vibrant, light filled wedding filled with citrus, blush and lemon toned florals, I was on board. Not only because the inspiration boards she sent me were right up my alley, but because I’ve always wanted to work at Clark Gardens. And Mondays are generally free of weddings 😉 If you’ve never made the trip out that way (on the cusp of Weatherford and Mineral Wells), it’s well worth the drive.
The afternoon started off with setting everything up in a quiet nook of the gardens. Watching the set come to life is probably one of my favorite parts about styled shoots. It goes from a dream, to a mood board, to a truck full of tangible items, to a full on wedding setup. Lots of thanks to our amazing rental company (Borrowed Treasures) for not only providing the furniture, but also for the muscles!
Pam (who has never modeled before but should go pro now) looked radiant in her Bow & Arrow gown. It’s like that dress was made for her! It moved and flowed so gracefully.
No garden fete is complete without CAKE. Ashley’s Sweets built a sugary masterpiece with expertly sliced pears adorning the side.
Bees buzzed around, attracted to the scent of the icing, fruit, and the lush florals that were everywhere you turned.
Are you feeling spring-y yet? Take a gander as I bring Zoe’s vision to life.
There’s nothing that screams spring more than golden daylight and fresh pears cascading down a cake.
