Since Starbucks announced their Pumpkin Spice Latte a bit early this year, I figured it was the perfect time to add a little splash of fall to my blog. After all, who doesn’t love autumn? I feel like by sharing this with the world in August, maybe the nights will become cooler and the warm reds, oranges, and yellows will replace all the green a bit faster.
One thing I loved about this elopement (styled beautifully by the talented Taylor Olivares) is the chic vibes and decor. It wasn’t overwhelmingly like BAM this is definitely a fall session. White pumpkins, dark blues, lush greenery, exposed wood… so gorgeous.
When Taylor was telling me her inspiration behind this session, I literally had to google where the heck Eisenhower State Park was. I think I had driven through Denison at one point in my life, but I really couldn’t remember. It’s less than 2 hours from Fort Worth, and it really did feel like I was transported to a completely different state. Sandy beaches, rocky caves, cliffs that glow like gold when the sun sets. I’m a little bit obsessed and I can’t wait to go back.
Dafni with Bon Vie Floral Design crafted this gorgeous, soft blush bouquet. I need these around my house like all the time.
This dress gave me life. The way the train fell and moved was like the water on the cliffs below us. I love me a dress with movement. Also that sunset! At this point in the session, the sun was almost all the way down, just barely brimming on the horizon. The skies looked like cotton candy. Photographers call this “blue hour” and I need to shoot this late more often. By the time we got back to the car not even 20 minutes later, it was pitch black.
Just a little bit obsessed with this session. I can’t wait to go back!
