Q: What is your style?

My style is a pleasant mix of photojournalistic and posed. During weddings, I like to be a “fly on the wall” so I can capture the day as it unfolds, and the real moments as they happen. I will pose the family formals, the bridal party formals, and the Bride & Groom formals, but for the most part and I am just capturing the day as it happens. This is also my style for family portraits. I love the little moments in between poses; the silly faces, the kiss that Mom and Dad sneak while the kids are playing, the real emotion, and the way you interact with each other. As for editing style, my photos are clean, timeless, and natural.

Q: Do I get to keep my photos? How do I get them?

Of course! I deliver my photos via Pixieset, this amazing gallery where you can view, share, download, and even purchase prints and canvas. All edited photos will be delivered that way and the usage rights are yours. Upload them to Social Media, send them to Grandma and Grandpa, print them to display on your walls! They are YOURS. Swan Photography retains the copyright.

Q: How many photos do you take during a wedding?

I average 50-100 photos per hour. I don’t have a set limit during weddings or sessions, so the amount of photos you will get back is unlimited, depending on the length of your wedding.

Q: How long does it take to receive my photos?

Approximately 4-6 weeks. I shoot multiple weddings and portrait sessions a month, as well as being a full time Mom to a rambunctious 2 and a half year old. However, I do post sneak peeks on my Facebook page to make the waiting time a little easier.

Q: Is a retainer required to reserve my wedding date?

Yes. 25% of the total package price is due at the signing of the contracts to ensure your date is booked. This retainer is non-refundable. I can accept cash, check, money order, or through PayPal (a 3% fee will be applied to PayPal transactions)

Q: When is the full payment due?

The final payment is due in full 30 days before your wedding date. Payment plans are definitely acceptable. Paying in increments over the months before your wedding is easier on most people than one large lump sum at the end.

Q: Are your packages flexible?

Absolutely. I have several different packages available, depending on budget and what all you’re wanting. I also have a la carte options if the packages don’t suit what you’re looking for, or if you’d like to add additional coverage, custom USB drives, or upgrade your album.

Q: Are you the only one covering the wedding?

No. I always shoot with a second shooter! This way, every angle of your day is covered. I only shoot with professional photographers who I trust to do an amazing job and have a style similar to mine. Most often, my husband Marc is my second shooter. We love shooting weddings together and we’ve frequently been complimented how well we work together.

Q: Where can we meet for a consult?

I love to meet with my clients at Starbucks. Who doesn’t love a good caramel macchiato or chai tea? What’s even better than that? Gushing over wedding details and making new friends! If you’re not from the area, I would be happy to meet you halfway!

Q: Do you travel?

YES YES YES! I LOVE traveling and seeing different parts of the world. I’m based in Fort Worth, TX but I will happily travel anywhere to photograph you. Beach wedding? I’m there. Destination wedding in the mountains? Yes, please. If you’re interested in booking for a destination wedding, feel free to contact me and we can work out some details!
